That is The Campins song that Eddie came up with that for some reason the kids love.
Trinity
She reads, she writes, she composes and creates. Trinity has little interest in sports and is full throttle into her creative world. Although she no longer makes us do pretend games, voices, friends, she does play school with an imaginary class. She creates lesson plans, projects and homework.
She throws birthday parties for her dolls and makes her own decorations.
She writes songs and performs them to her own choreography.
She plays the piano. She has been taking lessons for about 4-5 months. Her teacher believes that she has a real talent for it. She picks up each lesson quickly and is enthusiastic about it.
She is learning how to swim pretty well after several months of lessons. She can go under without holding her nose which is more than her mama can do. We are working on diving and forward floating at the moment. The good thing is that she can touch the bottom of all of our families' pools so the anxiety of a child drowning has lessened my anxiety just a bit.
She still calls frisbies, "krisbys."
Bandannas are "bo-danas."
She gets upset when she gets woken up and her good dreams are "erupted" as opposed to interrupted.
She has a 6 year old sassiness and strong will that I will appreciate when she gets older and in college. For now, it gets old quickly.
Everett
He favorite movie is The Princess Bride which he calls the "big rap." He likes the ROUSs (rodents of unusual size) but instead of a rat, he calls them raps.
He thinks The Incredible Hulk is The Incredible Honk.
If the tub is close to overflowing, he screams that the tub is going to "overfloat."
Chuck E. Cheese tickets are "toekets" which I believe is a cross between a token and ticket.
Our dining room is the "diving room."
Tug of War is "tug of rail."
He will take out the scale to see how much he "waves."
He loves the Harry and the Henderson's movie appropriately called Bigfoot to him.
He asks if I am going to go run on the "treadmilk."
Everett is our comedian and also the ring master to Reeve. Reeve eats out of Everett's hand basically. I always say that I hope Everett is a good kid because Reeve is right behind him mimicking everything he does.
Everett thinks he is spiderman and spends most days trying to climb things and spit webs out of his wrist.
The age of 3 has been a breeze with him. He listens, obeys and rarely throws a tantrum. He occasionally whines and even that isn't a big deal. He still sleeps great and goes to bed great.
He has started to eat occasional meat but mostly in the form of bacon. He will take some cheeseburger bites here and there but for the most part its bacon, yogurt, pistachios, pb&j, bread and milk that make up his diet. No eggs, no cheese, no meat. Somehow is growing good.
Reeve
He is as playful as ever.
He is starting to verbalize some things: Amen, Jesus, Mommy, Daddy, Oh No, All Done, One More (kiss as I am headed out the door-precious), Please.
We recently got him tested for a speech evaluation and as expected he flunked. He gets speech therapy in our home twice a week which has really started to help. He is at the height of vocabulary frustration. He has an entire language that we do not understand so we are trying to have him take a step back and slow down to one and two word phrases. We are finally communicating some.
He is still a mama's boy which I hold dear to my heart.
He is a cuddler and lover. He still likes to be rocked to bed.
He can throw and kick a ball with precision.
He is a HUGE basketball fan. He screams to play with his ball and hoop daily and will sit quietly watching it on TV.
He jumps all day long. He might be a professional jump roper as an adult.
He loves to be outside.
He refuses to look directly at a camera so most pictures are the top of his head.
He runs into the street often. I will have a heart attack soon.
