My 3rd Mama's Day

Mother's Day is one of my favorite days. Maybe it is because I appreciate a day dedicated to all my hard work. :) I work hard to be the best possible mom to my kids. In truth, I do not need a dedication day but my kids to know how much they are loved, cared for, worried and prayed over. How most of my greatest joys are their happiness, smiles and laughs.
How I sacrifice my agenda and any selfishness to care for their needs.
How much I prayed for them to be created and how much I pray for them to live a long and happy life.
How much I love their company, (even at 6AM) and how much I miss them when we are apart. How I can't remember them ever not being a part of my life and how I ever doubted I could unconditionally love another person so well.
How I cry thinking about them going off to college and how I fear that they will eventually grow up and no longer want to be around me so much.
I guess I wish there were a day dedicated to kids so they know how much they are appreciated but hopefully I give them that joy and fulfillment daily.
I *love* being a mama!

(Trinity's face cracks me up in this picture. Eddie looks like he is posing for a formal portrait at Olan Mills.)

It was cold that day!

Lilac Fest

The lilacs have bloomed in Lombard. The smell brings such a joy to my heart. We make the trek out there annually to smell the trees, take some great pictures and visit Dairy Queen. Trinity had a blast just running through the grass. She doesn't get much opportunity in the city. This was pretty evident when she said she wanted to run up the mountain when referring to a small hill. It makes me excited for the day when she sees a real mountain! There are lots of great pictures but I only display my favorites.

Spring Concert

Trinity had her sophomore performance at bible school today. Back in December, she didn't sing a word in her Christmas program. Today, she was slightly more outgoing but shy, to say the least. Here is some video feed. (Her little friend Emma is right next to her - of course!)

Deep and Wide, Deep and Wide; There's a fountain flowing deep and wide...

City Parks

One of the many things I love about living in the city are the parks that are everywhere! We have taken advantage every warm day and have invited our friends to join us.

Photojournalism

Every time I download pictures, I get these random strange pics that I know I didn't take. I have figured out that Trinity steals my camera and starts snapping and then puts the camera back so I am none the wiser. I guess she will take after me in the photography and practical joke departments. Here are some I find hilarious.
