Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day to my husband! I have never known a man to be so dedicated to their family and to make known to each child how much he truly loves them. He works so hard to provide for them and is always thinking about what is best for them and their childhood. He is a fun daddy, a lovable daddy, a honorable daddy, an admired daddy. We are all so very blessed to have him.How cute are the "necktie shirts" that everyone is wearing??

Funny outtake: Check out Everett's hand. Sorry Reeve, I think you have a long future of slaps to the face!

Reeve: 4 weeks

Reeve is growing up quickly. He is already over 11 pounds and is starting to get those cute fat rolls on his thighs. He has fit into this family as though he has been here forever. So far he has been pretty easy, with some exceptions. He loves to be held when he is awake and won't have it any other way. This proves to be difficult at times. He is quite a puker. I stink by the end of the day and go through diaper cloths like toilet paper. I can do three loads of laundry a day if I wanted.
Here are some recent pics of the little guy hanging out. enjoy.

Son Of A________!

TraderMy girlfriend made Reeve this shirt. I thought it super cute and fitting for his daddy's career.

Nacho Libre

Our Spanish wrestler, Trinity, decided to go from the top ropes. While unsupervised for 30 seconds, she climbed to the top of the armrest of the couch and jumped. (We only got the full story the next day from her after some interrogation and reverse psychology.)
I am not sure if she did not commit fully to the jump or what. What I do know is that her face went face first into the floor (thankfully the carpeted floor) and her nose and mouth suffered. We suspect her nose was broken although the pediatrician assured us it was no more than a slight crack. Her teeth made it through this accident okay but that little piece of tissue that connects your upper gum to your lip...took a beating. ugh!
The funny thing is is that Everett is the adventurous one and he does not get hurt. Trinity is the very cautious one and gets hurt a lot it seems. I think she has a personality conflict. She sees others being daring and wants to do the same but then is afraid to commit and falls short and therefore hurts herself. Lets pray this is the last of our accidents!

The Middle Child

Everett has been the middle child for 4 short weeks. I have tried from day 1 to make him feel special too. I was just looking through the blog posts and realized I have not said anything about him lately. There is a lot to say about our cute little man who is growing faster than a weed before our very eyes. He is approaching 21 months and although it seems like not a lot has changed, some things have.
He isn't talking a whole lot yet but he has added some new words to his vocabulary. He loves to say "again" when daddy is wrestling or throwing him around.
He is saying "open."
He can sing the tune of twinkle, twinkle little star but I have no idea what words he is using. :)
He loves to roar like lion.
He points at everything to make you tell him what he is looking at: car, tree, cow, etc. even though he clearly knows what they are.
He can pick out animals and other things while reading books.
He has just developed an attention span for books and has 2 favorites: Tails and Trinity's fairy tale princess book.
He makes the funniest face when he doesn't like the taste of something and will purposely ask for a sip of coke (which he doesn't like) or something like that in order to make the face and make you laugh.
He still refuses to eat meat...won't even try it. (Update: over the weekend Grandma Jo got him to eat chicken and my dad got him to eat a white castle.)
He hops around like a monkey...again to make you laugh.
He slaps his hands on his legs when really excited.
He loves to run laps around our kitchen table.
He can jump and get air.
He can do his bible shape sorter which has pretty difficult shapes that include a dove, a lamb and a cross.
He spends a lot of his day taking DVDs in and out of our portable DVD player, which he has claimed as his own.
He needs to take 3-4 pacifiers out of his crib and carry them around for a lot of the day. When he gets mad, he runs through the house looking for something to pick up and throw. Usually a telephone or something else that belongs to us.
Ahhhh, he seriously cracks me up. He is a super funny kid.

He *loves* his little brother. He loves to bring him his pacifiers and blankets. He is always looking for ways to take care of him. As of late, he likes to help burp him. this sometimes comes at times when he does not have to be burped. For example, when he is sleeping. He thinks it is a good times to start slapping his belly. I know he is just trying to be helpful!

Oz Ball

We have friends in cool places. Our friends, The Mittinos, are actively involved with The Emerald City Theatre (see link for upcoming Cinderella ice cream ball) which has *great* stuff for kids. We have enjoyed every show there. We were invited to join them at their table at the annual Oz Ball. Eddie took Trinity which turned out to be one of their most fun dates. Trinity was a dancing machine and tore up the dance floor.

Mi amiga Veronica and her son Rocco...looking tough

Check out Trinity's super sweet dress I found on Etsy. It was the hit of the ball as *many* people commented on it. Super thanks to Mrs. Mouse for her speedy alterations and gifted talented hands.

Glow Worm

Unfortunately, Reeve had to be admitted in Children's Memorial Hospital due to a high jaundice level. Fortunately, he did look super cute under to soft blue glow of the bilirubin light. Thankfully, we were only there a night and we are back home recovering and adjusting to being a family of 5.
